ANACREONTIC'S MUSIC

We're Anacreontic Society, a modern progressive rock project built for listeners who like their rock with twists, colors, and a few surprises along the way.

Our songs are driven by strong melodical lines, blending 70s and 80s rock spirit with contemporary pop instincts, electronic dance music, classical orchestration, and a wide-open love for crossing genres.

The name comes from the Anacreontic clubs of 18th-century London and Ireland, where amateur musicians gathered to play, experiment, and enjoy music freely. That same restless, creative energy drives the project today, just with loud guitars, synths, virtual symphonic instruments, and a lot more rock attitude.

Anacreontic Society doesn’t try to stay in one lane. The rule is simple: keep pushing, keep mixing, and always add new colors.

WHO IS BEHIND THE SCENES?

What happens when you mix Rio de Janeiro roots, a few years in the US, plus a home base in Spain? You get the vibrant, genre-blending world of COLORS, the debut album from Anacreontic Society, founded by producer and songwriter Roberto Nogueira.

Roberto started the project to explore a unique sonic identity where global cultures collide. He is the primary mastermind, composer, and lyricist, acting as the project's creative anchor. A few guest artists also collaborated for this drop, most notably Pedro Nogh, the composer of the standout track “Príncipe porteño”.

Instead of sticking to one lane, COLORS shifts gears constantly, ensuring a surprise at every new track. “The goal was to give every track its own distinct flavor, but keep the whole record feeling like a continuous, cinematic journey,” Roberto says. “The biggest challenge was building smooth transitions and movement, almost like a movie soundtrack, so it feels like a cohesive narrative rather than just a scattered playlist of random genres.”
